Cape Town - Former Orlando Pirates favorite Excellent Walaza believes Tendai Ndoro should be Eric Tinkler's first-choice striker.
The 28-year-old, who is no stranger to Soweto derbies, claims Ndoro is clearly more determined and hungry for success than the Buccaneers' other striking options.
"The difference between Ndoro and the two other strikers is that he is hungry and high on confidence," the former Bafana Bafana striker told Goal website.
"He has proved his killer instincts in front of goal and for that I think he deserves to continue leading the line for Pirates.
"For me Majoro and Gabuza are low on confidence and should fight their way back from the bench, while Ndoro does the business for the team."
Walaza believes the Zimbabwean forward can rise to prominence in the same manner as he did during his debut season, and also backed Tinkler to remain as head coach.
"I was not a regular myself in that season but scoring a brace against Chiefs convinced the coach that I can do the job for the team. I believe it is the same for Ndoro," he added.
"I think Tinkler is also doing well as a coach and needs time to build a strong side with Pirates.
"It has not been an easy campaign for them, they must be consistent and move places in the league to finish on a respectable position."
