Cape Town - Free State Stars midfielder Nhlanhla Vilakazi is eager to secure a rare cup final berth when they take on Cape Town City in the Telkom Knockout on Saturday.
Stars have travelled to the Mother City to face City at the Cape Town Stadium. The club have been struggling in the Premiership without a win at the bottom of the table but have found good form in the tournament.
Ea Lla Koto are chasing their first cup win since 1994 when they clinched TKO title which was then known as the Coca Cola Cup.
"You know in football everything can happen and we just hope we can continue this way in the Telkom Knockout after beating Bidvest Wits and Kaizer Chiefs previously, hopefully we can continue in that way," Vilakazi told KickOff.
"It will be great for us as a team to go through and we know things have not been the same for us. When we signed contracts with the club we all committed to say we want to fight for each other and you always have prepared things like this, and when they occurred, you have to always to be strong for the next game.
"We have to win this game to proceed to the final. I just feel luck has deserted us because the way we play we created an abundance of chances but I'm hoping that the luck can be on our side."
