Usuthu sign former Bafana goalkeeper

Cape Town - AmaZulu have wasted no time in planning for next season and have already confirmed a major signing: veteran goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs.

The 37-year-old Josephs, who made his name at Ajax Cape Town and had much success with Orlando Pirates, was unable to nail down regular game-time last season with Wits.

The former Bafana Bafana keeper, who made his PSL debut 21-years ago, will now have the chance to resurrect his career in Durban - if he can see off current keepers Siyabonga Mbatha and Energy Murambadoro to earn a starting place.

"We've bought Moeneeb from Wits. Next season he will be playing his football here at AmaZulu. We are excited to sign a player of his calibre," General Manager Lunga Sokhela was quoted saying by IOL.

Usuthu are set to meet Orlando Pirates in the 2018 /19 season-opening top eight competition.
