United announce Mnyamane capture

Cape Town - SuperSport United have announced the that Thabo Mnyamane penned a three-year deal from the University of Pretoria.

"SuperSport United is delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder, Thabo Mnyamane on a three-year deal from The University of Pretoria," read the statement.

"The Bafana Bafana international, joins Matsatsantsa after they beat off the likes of Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer chiefs to land his signature.

"Mnyamane, 23, is capable of playing on both flanks and arrives at SuperSport with a glowing reputation in the Premier Soccer League after first making his name in the Varsity Cup ranks for NWU-Pukke and recently with AmaTuks where he contributed 17 goals in all competitions during his three seasons with the Tswhane-based outfit.

"Amongst his honours was a player of the tournament award in the very first season of The Varsity Cup competition where he helped the North West University to a last four finish, earning himself national recognition along the way, and also a goal on debut for Bafana Bafana against Swaziland.

"Mnyamane now becomes Stuart Baxter’s sixth signing so far - following - Reeyad Pieterse, Keegan Ritchie, Onismor Bhasera, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Cole Alexander.

"The winger could make his United debut in the 2016/17 season opener, MTN 8 Competition against Mamelodi Sundowns."
