Two-horse race for PSL title?

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns' quest for a seventh Absa Premiership title hit a bump in the road in midweek, opening the door for Bidvest Wits with seven matches remaining.

LOG: Latest standings in the Absa Premiership

Sundowns slumped to a 3-1 home defeat against Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday, allowing Wits - 1-0 winners over Orlando Pirates - to close the gap atop the standings to four points.

Leading SA bookmakers Sportingbet have reflected the now two-horse race for the 2015/16 in their latest odds.

Sundowns are on offer at 1/2, with Wits available at 7/5.

The clash between the two title contenders on Wednesday, May 11 - the second last round of scheduled fixtures - is shaping up as the title decider.

Third-placed Platinum Stars, 12 points adrift of Sundowns, albeit with a game in hand, appear to have too much to do to lay their hands on the trophy.
