Twala looking forward to next season

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs winger William Twala admits that his team is looking forward to redeeming themselves next season.

Chiefs signed Twala from Chippa United in the January transfer window to add some spark to an otherwise goal-shy attack.

Amakhosi ended their campaign after losing out in both the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout finals, while finishing fifth in the Absa Premiership.

The Naturena-based outfit is going through wholesale changes in the off-season with as many as 20 players being transfer listed or released.

"This season was very challenging...no-one saw Sundowns winning the League title because they didn't start well," Twala told KickOff.

"Personally I was happy to play and score some goals, but we were unfortunate with a run of poor results. It is hard to single out what it was that led us not to win.

"Our target next season is obviously to get silverware. Coach Steve Komphela made it very clear that we must be focused on improving ourselves. We want to dominate, not just compete."
