Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs winger William Twala believes they will be in the mix for the Absa Premiership title this season if consistent performances continue to be delivered.
Steve Komphela's charges are setting the early pace in the league, along with Golden Arrows, as they hold a four-point lead over the chasing pack after six matches.
Amakhosi are currently unbeaten in their last six games in all competitions since losing to Bidvest Wits on the opening day of the new campaign before being knocked out of the MTN8 by Cape Town City.
Speaking ahead of Saturday's eagerly-anticipated Soweto derby against Orlando Pirates at the FNB Stadium, Twala has called for more of the same from Chiefs.
"Having had a good run in our recent league games, and being the current log leaders calls for consistency. Only consistency is what we need in our upcoming games," the 26-year-old told Vodacom Soccer.
"We take each game as it comes, and having managed to advance to the TKO quarter-finals, we have now shifted our focus on the upcoming league clash against Pirates.
"We treat each game with equal importance whether it's a league or cup game. Of course we expect a tough battle against our rivals Pirates, but everyone is looking forward to the derby."
The highly anticipated Soweto derby is scheduled for a 15:30 kick-off.
