Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler says his side is fully aware of what needs to be done ahead of their Nedbank Cup semi-final clash with Free State Stars on Saturday afternoon.
The Buccaneers travel to Goble Park with their sights set on progressing to finals of the Ke Yona, in a bid to salvage some pride, following their slow start to the campaign.
Tinkler draws positives from their recent league matches, despite losing 2-0 to Chippa United in their midweek encounter at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
"I look at the last three performances we've had - the game against Chippa was probably our best," he said.
"Against Maritzburg United [last Saturday] we were giving the ball away very cheaply.
"Against Chippa I thought we kept it a lot better and got quite a few combinations going, in terms of our movement and trying to get into positive areas.
"What one needs to remember is you're going into a semi-final that the players are all well aware of, where they know that winning a trophy could be our saving grace this season."
Kick-off is at 15:00.
