Tinkler: I am feeling the pressure

Johannesburg - Eric Tinkler admits that he is feeling the pressure as his Orlando Pirates side continue their winless run against Platinum Stars.

Dikwena and Pirates shared the spoils in an Absa Premiership clash played at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

Issa Sarr was on target for the Buccaneers while Ndumiso Mabena levelled matters for the North West Tycoons.

Tinkler said he is feeling pressured as his goal is to succeed at the Sea Robbers but also hinted that it is normal for coaches to feel this way if results are not coming their way.

“Honestly speaking, yes I am feeling the pressure.” Tinkler said.

“Because all coaches in the world feel pressured when things aren’t going well at their respective teams.

“I came here (at Pirates) to succeed not to fail and even when you come across temporary obstacles you have to feel the pressure, it’s very normal.”

Pirates remain without a victory in their last five encounters in all competitions and their next assignment will be against the University of Pretoria at home on Wednesday, January 13.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
