Tinkler focused on SSU double-header

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler has emphasised the importance of staying focused ahead of their last two remaining fixtures of the season against SuperSport United.

The Buccaneers beat confident Free State Stars 4-2 in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals on Saturday to book their place in the final against Matsatsantsa on May 28.

But before then, the Soweto giants have a league date with Stuart Baxter's men on the final day of the league campaign, as they look to secure their top-eight finish.

"Both matches are very important. Two cup finals, two massive games, and I'm looking forward to the opportunity," Tinkler said.

"It is also important to secure our top-eight position and then win the Nedbank Cup later on. We first play them in the league and it is important we get a result before going to the final."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
