Tinkler: Expectations high at City

Cape Town - Cape Town City FC coach Eric Tinkler has revealed that he is under as much pressure at the Mother City club as at giants Orlando Pirates.

City FC have been in brilliant form in their first season after the purchase of Mpumalanga Black Aces' Premiership status.

Tinkler has steered City FC to the best start in the entire Premiership with 24 points from 12 games.

The former Buccaneers coach says City FC boss John Comitis has high expectations.

"The pressure is the same. You know my boss expects me to win every game. That is normal and that is what is expected, but at Pirates, obviously the demands by the public are different," Tinkler told KickOff.

"The social media is the headache for us as coaches ... you guys - the media - are all scrutinising us. At Pirates they scrutinise more than anywhere else and that is the added pressure that you have.

"We've got to see how we progress. We've got three more games coming before the break and we will see how we start, come the second half.

"During the upcoming break we will make a decision on whether or not we do have sufficient depth in our squad."
