Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler has challenged Lehlohonolo Majoro and Thamsanqa Gabuza to push themselves if they are to replace in-form Tandai Ndoro in the starting XI.
Ndoro scored his 10th goal in nine games and created one in their 2-0 Nedbank Cup quarter-final victory over Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday night.
"Majoro is quality, Gbauza is quality. They need to work hard in order to get into the starting line-up," Tinkler was quoted as saying by KickOff.
"Right now Tendai is doing extremely well. I am happy he is scoring, but I need to keep him on his toes. You can't rest on your laurels. You are only as good as your last game - that’s the harsh reality.
"He needs to keep working hard if he wants to remain successful because in the modern game people start picking up on your strengths and they look to counter that.
"Now you have to come with extra energy, come up with extra ideas in terms of wanting to improve your game, hence Tendai must keep working hard."
