SuperSport draw Pirates in mouthwatering TKO clash

Cape Town - The draw for the Telkom Knockout semi-finals was made on Sunday afternoon following the conclusion of the quarter-final action.

Free State Stars, who beat Kaizer Chiefs on penalties in the final last-eight clash of the round, were drawn to play Cape Town City, who beat Baroka FC in an seven-goal thriller on Saturday.

SuperSport United's reward for knocking out African champions Mamelodi Sundowns, is a last-four tie against Soweto giants Orlando Pirates, who defeated Highlands Park 2-1.

The dates and venues for the semi-finals will be decided at a later date.

SuperSport United's tie against Orlando Pirates is the draw of the round which will see an in form SuperSport face a Buccaneer side looking to gain revenge for the 6-1 mauling they received at the hands of Stuart Baxter's side in an Absa Premiership match.

The record-breaking defeat saw Muhsin Ertugral controversially hand in his resignation after declaring his intentions to step down in a post-match interview.
