Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns' Ivorian striker Yannick Zakri could be set to sign a loan deal with Ajax Cape Town.
Several reports on Monday claimed that Sundowns are close to signing SuperSport United striker Jeremy Brockie, to add to the capture of Aubrey Ngoma from Cape Town City a few weeks back.
Now, according to SoccerLaduma sources, the Brazilians appear set to allow Zakri, who had previously been linked to SuperSport, to join Ajax on a loan deal, with the Ivory Coast-born forward reportedly having been spotted training with the Urban Warriors.
Ajax, who won their first game since the arrival of coach Muhsin Ertugral with a 3-1 victory over Platinum Stars last weekend, have already signed former Orlando Pirates striker Tendai Ndoro, as well as Fagrie Lakay, on loan from SuperSport.
Other new arrivals at Ajax include Samuel Julies from Chippa United and Zimbabwean midfielder Gerald Takwara, while former Kaizer Chiefs and Bidvest defender Siboniso Gaxa is also being linked to them.
The Urban Warriors next face cross-town rivals Cape Town City in a Cape derby at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.
Kick-off is at 15:30.
