Sundowns edging closer to signing Jali - report

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly nearing a deal to sign Andile Jali with the midfielder approaching the last six months of his deal at Oostende.

According to the TimesLIVE website, talks are underway between Jali's representatives and Sundowns officials about securing his services.

The Bafana Bafana international is interested in a return to South Africa after spending three seasons in Belgium.

The 27-year-old has a R6 million buy-out clause which the Brazilians are not willing to match.

With his contract at the Belgian First Division A strugglers ending in June, it seems 'Downs are eager to sign him on a pre-contract.

Meanwhile, the Brazilians are set to travel to the Mother City for their top of the table clash against Cape Town City.

The match is set to take place at Athlone Stadium on Friday night.

Kick-off is at 20:00.
