Cape Town - Zesco United's 1-1 draw with Wydad Casablanca in their final Group A game of the 2016 CAF Champions League means Team Ya Ziko will face Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi-finals of the competition.
Sundowns had already qualified as Group B winners and will now face Zesco who finished second in Group A. The draw meant that Wydad finished as top of their group and will face Zamalek in the final four.
Sundowns are fancied as favourites to win the competition despite losing their last group game against Enyimba - the Brazilians have been impressive and only sent largely a second-string side to Nigeria.
Downs' run to the semi-finals is all the more impressive after they were re-instated into the tournament after initially failing to qualify. However, Zesco are a tough nut to crack at home and will no doubt give Pitso Mosimane's men a tough day at the office.
The other semi-final sees two North African giants take each other on - Wydad from Morocco will clash with Egypt's Zamalek. The first-leg matches in the final four will take place in September with Downs playing away at Zesco, while Zamalek host Wydad.
