Cape Town - Maritzburg United coach Ernst Middendorp felt that his team could have done better after their goalless draw with Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday.
Both sides created multiple scoring opportunities but were missing the final touch to find the back of the net.
Middendorp is looking to for a good start to the season in order to avoid another relegation scrap this term.
"Not enough, only one point is disappointing. We had more potential…too many silly mistakes offering the opponent service more than going into the final third, we can do much better," he told KickOff.
"But it's not acceptable...it happens, we're all human beings, it's fine but if you have your teammate in a better position in the final box just pass and let him do the job and that's it, we are not so far that we have this understanding.
"We are thinking individually if I do something special...the cohesion is not there as I want it, as we need it to be successful. If I want to have the same messy season again with this club here, that's not my standard, I want to do it right.
"We have assembled a team here with a lot of personality, with a lot of quality, I think, and we can do much better, as we have seen today."
