Sono happy with Cosmos' form

Cape Town - Jomo Cosmos coach Jomo Sono says he is happy with his side's performances so far in the league, since they were one of the teams that got promoted from the National First Division last season.

Ezenkhosi endured a tough start to life in the top flight but have shown improvement recently as they managed to beat Chippa United 4-3 at home to lift themselves up to 14th in the table with 10 points after 11 games.

"80% of the games we've played so far we could have won. We have created a lot of chances," Sono told TMG Digital

"But I said some time ago that when we get going we can be a factor.

"It could have happened against Sundowns, we did well against Chiefs and then we showed what we could do against Chippa."

The former Bafana mentor also said that their adopted home ground at Olen Park in Potchefstroom suited the team's style of play.

"It's compact and it's small and suits the way we play," Sono explained.

"We like to press our opponents high up the field and we can do it so well in Potch. And once we get the ball we have pace for the quick counter attack."
