Cape Town - Jomo Cosmos coach Jomo Sono says it's not time to press the panic button just yet as he believes his side can still retain their Premiership status in the final stretch of the season.
Ezenkosi suffered a 2-0 defeat to leaders Mamelodi Sundowns at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday evening, leaving Sono's men just second from the bottom in the league standings with 20 points from 25 games.
Looking at their last five remaining matches of the season, the coach is confident Ezenkosi will survive the axe, as they will be looking to collect maximum points against Bloemfontein Celtic, AmaTuks, Ajax Cape Town, Golden Arrows and fellow strugglers Maritzburg United.
"I am not worried. Let's be realistic, look at our fixtures, we have played all the big games. To be honest it was tough for us," Sono said.
"Now at least we are going to play against teams equal to us. We have done well against them. Celtic scored in the 89th minute. Tuks scored from a set-piece. I think we have a chance.
"Free State Stars won the last three games (last season) and survived. The last three we can survive. The last two games we can survive, so it's not over until the fat lady sings gents. We are not panicking."
