Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs stalwart Siphiwe Tshabalala says the
mood in the camp at Naturena is positive
as they prepare for the second half of the Premiership.
After an inconsistent start to the season, Amakhosi ended the first half of the campaign on a high note - with two consecutive league victories.
Currently in fourth place and trailing Supersport United, Bidvest Wits and Cape Town City by a single point, 'Shabba' feels the Soweto giants have done enough to mount a serious title challenge when the league resumes next month.
"We closed off sitting in position four on the league table and that for me is not a bad position to start in going forward," he told the club's website.
"The team just needs to make sure that we head forward with the intent to raise our performance in order to bring in good results.
"The journey so far has been not easy but that is how life deals. I am glad to be back and preparing to resume the season along with the Kaizer Chiefs lads," the veteran playmaker added.
"The future is bright and as Amakhosi we will be opening our second half of the season with a fixture against Free State Stars on February 7.
"There is plenty of work to be done but we must keep in mind that Rome was not built in a day. We will take it a game at a time and build on that."
