Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs legend Johannes 'Big Boy' Kholoane believes that Amakhosi's Player of the Season, Siphiwe Tshabalala, gets success because he takes calculated gambles on the pitch.
Shabba enjoyed a great season personally despite the club failing to win any trophies in 2016/17.
The veteran scored eight goals in all competitions including a number of contenders for goal of the season.
As such, Kholoane, who played for Chiefs from 1972 until early 1976 as a speedy winger, told the club's official website that the Tshabalala is a player who takes a lot of risks.
"He made a difference whenever he played, stamping his authority. Shabba knows that soccer is a game of risks," said Kholoane.
"That's why he takes chances, like his two recent marvelous goals against Cape Town City and SuperSport United.
He also praised the club's Players' Player of the Year, Ramahlwe Mphahlele.
"He's a workaholic. He has so much energy, going up and down the flank for 90 minutes, delivering telling crosses into the opponent’s box," said Kholoane.
"Rama always makes a difference when he plays."
