Setlhodi expects goalless Soweto derby

Cape Town - Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper and talent scout Joseph 'Banks' Setlhodi is not convinced that Amakhosi will get the better of Orlando Pirates on Saturday.

The Soweto derby is set to take place at the FNB Stadium, and while Setlhodi is hopeful that the clash will produce goals, he believes it will be a battle of attrition - most likely ending in a draw.

"I am hoping for an exciting game, but I think it's going to be a goalless draw," he told Goal.com website.

"Goals in a derby are very scarce, you know. I'm not hoping for more than four goals because if you recall there's never been that amount of goals in recent derbies. Both coaches would not like to lose this game."

Talking about Chiefs' recent improvements, Setlhodi added: "You know, I shall always be on the side of Chiefs. But I still need to see them. I am not yet convinced.

"Maybe after this game I will be. I don't think they are on-form if you saw them against Maritzburg on Saturday.

"Let's hope for the best for Chiefs because I am a Chiefs fan. But history says no team that is on-form before the derby goes on and wins."

Kick-off is at 15:30.
