GALLERY: Senzo Meyiwa's career in pictures

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa was tragically murdered three years ago today after being shot in Vosloorus, outside Johannesburg.

After making his debut in 2006, Meyiwa went on to play 157 matches for the Buccaneers.

He also made seven international appearances for Bafana Bafana, and captained the team in the absence of regular 'keeper and skipper, Itumeleng Khune.

Meyiwa's last professional appearance was the day before his death on Saturday, October 25 when he helped the Buccaneers to a 4-1 victory over Ajax Cape Town in a Telkom Knockout quarter-final.

He died at the age of 30.
