Semenya grateful for support

Cape Town - Platinum Stars defender Thabiso Semenya has expressed gratitude for the support from colleagues after the death of his wife.

His wife passed away while traveling to the Royal Bafokeng Stadium for the match against Kaizer Chiefs on March 9.

Semenya made his return to action from compassionate leave in the 2-1 victory against Orlando Pirates on Monday.

"It's not easy. I don't know how long it is going to take," Semenya told KickOff.

"When I get into the field I can forget everything for that moment and after the game it starts over again. I must continue to soldier on.

"The support has been phenomenal. I will always treasure the support I got from the club. I don't think there was another person to give the support that I have received from the club. They have been more a family."
