Rodgers eager for Dikwena stay

Cape Town - Platinum Stars striker Eleazer Rodgers has expressed his desire to extend his stay at the club beyond this season.

Rodgers has only has a few months remaining in his current deal, and although Dikwena are yet to offer the 31-year-old an extension, Rodgers is hopeful that negotiations will commence in Ernest.

"Yes, obviously I've settled in well at the club and I am happy to be here. I have found my feet really, I am doing well and enjoying my football," Rodgers told KickOff.

"I have been moving around a lot and that has not made it easy for me to settle and find my feet. But being here at the club that believes in God has also made it much easier for me to find my feet again.

"The one positive from all the moving around I've been doing is that it has made me stronger as a player and maybe that is why I am enjoying my time here so far.

"Obviously the club has been really good to me and I would like to remain here for longer and repay them for the faith that they have shown in me."
