Ritchie struggling to replace Masilela

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs defender Keegan Richie reveals that competing against Tsepo Masilela for the left-back position has become increasingly difficult.

According to KickOff, Ritchie admits that it is difficult to take Masilela out of the starting XI because of the quality he brings to the team.

“Yes I'm not getting as much game-time than I was at Celtic, but it is part of the game. Tsepo is my competition and I have to work hard to try and replace him,” Ritchie said.

“It is difficult to take him out; I mean he is a good player. He's got a lot of experience. He played in one of the biggest leagues in Europe, so I mean it is difficult but I'm working hard at my game every day.”

“The coach [Steve Komphela] always compliments me saying that I am a good player and I'm doing well. And I must just keep on working hard and my chance will come."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
