Rakhale: We have to win this

Johannesburg - With CAF Confederation Cup qualification in the back of their minds, Orlando Pirates is hoping to clinch the Nedbank Cup title.

Winger Thabo Rakhale insisted that winning the final against SuperSport United is their only hope to automatically qualify for the CAF competition.

The Ke Yona crown and a R7m prize will be at stake when the Buccaneers square-off against Matsatsantsa at the Peter Mokaba stadium in Polokwane on Saturday.

Rakhale said that the Happy People are eager to win the last competition on offer this season and also hinted that it will be a psychological game for them as they will be hoping to amend all their dropped points against United, in the league, throughout the season.

“Even with us it’s the same thing, we really want to win this cup,” Rakhale insisted.

“I mean that’s our only hope to go back to the CAF Confederations cup next year.

“So we are preparing for this coming game and yes it’ll be a psychological game for us because they have beaten us once in the league and we drew the other game.

“So we must win this coming cup final to amend matters against them.”

The match will commence at 15:00.
