Cape Town - Legendary Kaizer Chiefs defender Lucas Radebe says that Steve Komphela's charges are not projecting enough passion and character.
Amakhosi have been struggling to find their feet this season and look likely to end the campaign without any silverware.
According to KickOff, Radebe says that he is aware that Komphela is under immense pressure because of the stature of the club.
“When (you) see people like (new signing, William) Twala going straight into the team, it means something because we used to have pride when you wear the Chiefs jersey. You just don’t come straight in the team. In order to get in there you had to sweat, actually work hard to deserve the jersey," said the former Bafana Bafana captain.
“You look at the quality of the players. Have they enough quality within the team? Sometimes I watch them and look at the bench. Who is going to change the game?
“There is youngsters like (Pule) Ekstein who has got that touch of brilliance but honestly we want to see passion and character in the field of play and that’s not what they are projecting at the moment.”
