Cape Town - Mamelodi
Sundowns star Khama Billiat is reportedly a target for Belgium Pro
League champions Club Brugge, as well as KV Oostende in the same
division.
Billiat, who is a nominee on the 25-man shortlist for CAF Player of the Year, has captured the two clubs' attention after his great displays for the Brazilians in recent times.
The 26-year-old is arguably Sundowns' most outstanding attacking talent, and will be a player coach Pitso Mosimane will not want to lose.
However, the Zimbabwe international could view a move to Europe as being the next step in his career, and may be swayed if either Brugge or Oostende were to make an offer.
A move to the Belgian champions may be attractive to Billiat as they will be able to offer him Champions League football in future. The Blue-Black qualified for the group stages of the tournament this season.
According to Soccer Laduma, Brugge and De Kustboys are monitoring Billiat with the transfer window opening up again in January. The publication's source said, "Brugge and Oostende have kept on monitoring him. I regularly supply them with highlights."
With that said, the forward has a price-tag of R32 million which both clubs will have to pay before any move could potentially go through. It's unclear at this stage as to whether Downs will be willing to sell the player in January.
