Premier Soccer League Team of the Week

1. Reyaad Pieterse (Kaizer Chiefs) – Claimed Man of the Match against Wits and assures Amakhosi a vital victory over the Students.

2. Thulani Hlatshwayo (Bidvest Wits) – His experience is working well for Wits’ young midfielders and holds his place for the second week now.

3. Michael Boxall (SuperSport) – The defender has come under scrutiny for his performances but the New Zealander is finally showing what he is made of.

4. Lorenzo Gordinho (Kaizer Chiefs) – Analysts are calling for the defender to break into the Bafana Bafana squad already, too early?

5. Sibusiso Khumalo (SuperSport United) – A well rounded performance and got on the score sheet for Matsatsansta in their 2-0 victory over AmaTuks.

6. Phakamani Mahlambi (Bidvest Wits) – His young, energetic and comes across as one hungry attacking midfielder. He caused all kinds of problems for Chiefs.

7. Khama Billiat (Mamelodi Sundowns) – The Zimbabwean has interest from Europe and it will be tough for the Brazilians to hold onto the midfielder.

8. Thuso Phala (SuperSport United) – Has been particularly quiet under Gordon Igesund’s reign this season but is making noise already working with Stuart Baxter.

9. Collins Mbesuma (Mpumalanga Black Aces) – The veteran continues to play an important role in pushing for title credentials. Also, he stays scoring.

10. Prince Nxumalo (Ajax Cape Town) – An assist and a goal, the striker is back to his old self.

11. Leonardo Castro (Mamelodi Sundowns) – Working well in attack with Billiat and Keagan Dolly. CBD as the trio is known are causing havoc in the PSL. Will it continue?
