Cape Town - The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has granted a request by Polokwane City to postpone their weekend Absa Premiership fixture against Bloemfontein Celtic.
This comes after the club confirmed that defender Mogau Tshehlahad died in a car accident on Monday night.
The 26-year-old right-back - who had just played in the team's last fixture in the Nedbank Cup against Ubuntu Cape Town last week - joined Rise and Shine in January 2017 from NDF side Witbank Spurs having signed on a three-year deal.
A PSL statement read: The Premier Soccer League has granted a request by Polokwane City FC to postpone their weekend Absa Premiership fixture against Bloemfontein Celtic.
The match was scheduled for Sunday February 18.
This follows the sad and tragic passing of Rise and Shine player Mogau Tshehla who died in in a car accident.
The PSL will advise on future date for this fixture.
The League wishes to convey heartfelt condolences to the family of Mogau Tshehla and the Polokwane City family during this difficult moment.
