PSL DC charges 7 clubs

Cape Town - Three Absa Premiership clubs along with four National First Division clubs have been charged by the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee.

The statement read:

The following matters will appear before the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee next week Monday, 29 and Wednesday 31 January 2018. 

AJAX CAPE TOWN: Following a protest by Amazulu, Ajax Cape Town has been charged with contravening Rule 9.1 of the NSL Handbook for allegedly failing to provide a suitable venue for their Absa Premiership fixture against Amazulu on 25 November 2017. 

UTHONGATHI FC and PHILANI GUMEDE: The Club and club player, Mr Philani Gumede have been charged with misconduct and bringing the PSL into disrepute after Mr Gumede allegedly assaulted a player from Richards Bay during their National First Division fixture on 06 January 2018 at Princess Magogo Stadium. 

RICHARDS BAY and MENZI HLOPE: The club and the player, Mr Hlope have been charged with misconduct and bringing the PSL into disrepute after Mr Hlope was involved in a fight with a player from Uthongathi FC during the NFD fixture between Richards Bay and Uthongathi on 06 January 2018. 

CHIPPA UNITED: The Club has been charged with contravening the Compliance Manual after its representative failed to arrive on time for the pre-match meeting ahead of their fixture against Amazulu on 07 January 2018 at King Zwelithini Stadium. 

TSHAKHUMA TSHA MADZIVHANDILA: The Club has been charged with contravening the PSL Compliance Manual after the club official failed to arrive on time for the mandatory pre-match meeting ahead of their fixture against Mbombela United on 18 November 2017. 

L. GOLDEN ARROWS: The Club has been charged with contravening the PSL Compliance Manual after the club official failed to arrive on time for the mandatory pre-match meeting ahead of their fixture against Bloemfontein Celtic on 07 January 2018. 

JOMO COSMOS: The Club has been charged with contravening the PSL Compliance Manual after the club official failed to arrive on time for the mandatory pre-match meeting ahead of their fixture against Real Kings on 06 January 2018.
