Preview: Highlands Park v Kaizer Chiefs

Cape Town - Highlands Park will be looking to make it two wins from two when they take on a faltering Kaizer Chiefs in their Premiership encounter at the Makhulong Stadium on Wednesday.

Amakhosi travel to Tembisa on a dismal run with no wins yet this season, but have a reason to feel aggrieved after their 1-1 draw with Platinum Stars last time out.

Dikwena's goal clearly did not cross the line, and after the match Chiefs coach Steve Komphela lamented his side's bad luck and called for goal-line technology to be introduced in the South African top flight.

The Lions of the North will be brimming with confidence following their 2-1 win over Baroka FC last week as both their strikers Charlton Mashumba and last term's Premiership top scorer, Collins Mbesuma, netted on their league debuts for the newly-promoted club.

Goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini also impressed as they collected all three points with two penalty saves against Bakgaga.

Highlands Park have not reported on any new injuries or suspensions as coach Alan Freese has a full-strength squad at his disposal.

Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune has urged fans to rally behind the team, who last recorded a league victory on April 27, a 2-1 success against the University of Pretoria.

"The strength of the team lies in the individual, and the strength of the individual is in the team," Khune wrote on Twitter.

"(Let's) come together. You can't change what has already happened so choose to look ahead instead of behind you."

Komphela will be able to welcome back Siphiwe Tshabalala and Keagan Buchanan after the midfield duo featured in the 1-0 win over Ajax Cape Town in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge on Saturday.
