Polokwane down Chippa at the death

Polokwane - Thobani Mncwango scored a last-minute winner for Polokwane City as they beat Chippa United 1-0 in a PSL clash at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

Rise and Shine started the fixture on a seven game winless run and looked like a side low on confidence in the first-half but Julio Leal's second-half substitutions made a difference as they top-scorer Mncwango scored a cracking winner a minute before the end of the game.

The 28-year old fired a left-footed drive past an outstretched Ayanda Masiko to secure a crucial three points for the home side.

The win moved the home side six points above their relegation rivals Jomo Cosmos and AmaTuks.
