Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is targeting more of the same after steering his side to a 3-1 victory over Polokwane City on Wednesday.
The Brazilians currently hold a four-point lead at the summit of the league standings, and will be looking to solidify their grip on top spot when they welcome relegation-threatened Jomo Cosmos to Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday evening.
This after Mosimane's men slumped to a 1-0 defeat away to Volcan Club in the CAF Champions League last weekend, a result that leave Downs facing an uphill battle in the return leg, which takes place on Wednesday night.
"The Champions League is played the way we played against Polokwane City [on Wednesday], you get a chance, you take it," Mosimane was quoted the Sunday World.
"For us, we are only playing cup finals. If you lose, you lose your step on the log."
Looking ahead to Saturday's clash with Cosmos, he added: "Very tricky - another unpredictable team. [They are] a very strong team and if you undermine them... they won against Pirates and they beat Kaizer Chiefs.
"When they hit a wobble that's when they are dangerous. They lost [against Wits] and maybe that's a motivation for them."
