Pitso praises Polokwane after shock defeat

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane has openly admitted that Polokwane City were deserved 3-2 winners in their Absa Premiership clash on Saturday.

Masandawana were stunned at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium as unfancied Rise and Shine came from behind to complete the double over the league leaders.

Despite George Lebese giving Mosimane's side an early lead, Polokwane fought back valiantly in the second half with Sammy Seabi and Walter Musona both scoring from opportunistic strikes.

Oupa Manyisa equalised for the Brazilians, but Premiership top scorer Rodney Ramagalela bagged his ninth goal of the season to snatch for the hosts victory late on.

"It was two different halves in terms of opportunities. Two goals in one minute hey, it's football. They wanted it more than us. They were more hungry," Mosimane said.

"We can't complain about the break because they also had the same break. We are not yet back from the break. 'Rama-G' (Ramagalela) will always score, he's the top scorer in the league.

"He will [always] get his fair chance and score.

"But if we score five in the first half he can score his goal it's okay.

"We are not yet back from the break. We didn't want it more than them."
