Pitso adamant Sundowns won't splash the cash

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has dismissed suggestions that the club will go for broke in their pursuit of SuperSport United striker Jeremy Brockie.

Mosimane is reported to be a big admirer of Brockie, who scored 18 goals in all competitions for Matsatsantsa this past season.

Sundowns are said to be willing to offer defender Mario Booysen and midfielder Ejike Uzoenyi in exchange for the New Zealand international.

"When we try to get players from the teams it become difficult," Mosimane told KickOff.

"They ask a lot of money. Gone are those days when Sundowns takes money out and splashes it. If somebody wants to do a deal with us, we will do the deal.

"If teams don't want to do the deal, it's okay. We can go out with what we have to be honest but we will see."
