Pirates switch match venue due to EFF manifesto

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates Absa Premiership fixture against Polokwane City has been switched to a different stadium in preparation for the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) manifesto launch

According KickOff, Eric Tinkler's side were set to face Rise and Shine on Wednesday, April 27 at Orlando Stadium.

With the upcoming municipal elections, political parties have been rallying around the country urging the public to vote for their respective parties.

Despite it being three days after Pirates-City fixture, Julius Malema's party will facilitate Orlando Stadium to host EFF's manifesto launch on April 30.

The Parktown club will now host City at the FNB Stadium. Kick-off is at 19:30.

Meanwhile, the Buccaneers are currently sixth in the PSL standings and are looking to break into the top three.

Pirates remaining PSL fixtures are against Polokwane City, Platinum Stars, Maritzburg United, Chippa United, and SuperSport United.
