Cape Town - Orlando Pirates have acquired the services of two Free Stars players in Justice Chabalala and Sello Japhta, according to the duo's agent.
Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi confirmed that the Bethlehem-based pair signed three-year contracts with the Buccaneers respectively on Wednesday afternoon.
"Yes, Justice and Japhta have signed for Pirates. They have both signed three-year contracts," Mulovhedzi told Goal.com website.
"The two deals were finalised on Wednesday morning around 9am, but the clearances were submitted from chairman [Mike Mokoena] to chairman [Dr Irvin Khoza] around 4pm."
Mulovhedzi also said that Pirates had been interested in Chabalala since last year, adding that they have been tracking Japhta following his impressive display against Bloemfontein Celtic last season.
"Pirates showed interest in Justice last year, while they registered their interest in Japhta after the Celtic game," Mulovhedzi continued.
The Rush Hour Sports Management owner also confirmed that cross-town rivals Kaizer Chiefs were also keen on Chabalala, but they apparently baulked at Ea Lla Koto's asking price for the lanky defender.
"Yes, Chiefs were interested in Justice but they couldn't agree a transfer fee with Stars," Mulovhedzi stated.
