Cape Town - Orlando Pirates are looking into a reported altercation between Muhsin Ertugral and defender Edwin Gyimah which allegedly transpired at the Cape Town International Airport.
The Buccaneers recorded their second Premiership victory of the season with a 2-1 triumph over Ajax Cape Town, with forward Tendai Ndoro netting a brace.
The result has however been somewhat overshadowed by a video showing Ertugral and Gyimah being engaged in a heated argument, with the latter reportedly being calmed down by both his teammates and South African Police Service officials.
The Ghanaian was substituted at half-time for Thembela Sikhakhane and Pirates football administrator Floyd Mbele says that the whole story needs to be heard before conclusions are drawn.
"We need to establish the facts first," he said.
"We can't start casting aspersions without establishing the whole story. We will get reports from those who were there, the team management and then take the matter forward. It's still unclear what happened, so before we can go anywhere we need to establish the whole story first.
"People are attracted to controversy. This doesn't take away from the fact that we have had a good start in the league," Mbele concluded.
