Pirates are a big team, says Nyatama

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates midfielder Musa Nyatama believes the club are a major force in South African football, and much is expected of them when it comes to getting results.

Nyatama got the winning goal against Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday as Milutin Sredojevic's side climbed to second in the Absa Premiership table.

The 30-year-old says the win over Siwelele was much needed after a string of draws and defeats, and believes it will help build confidence for the rest of the season.

"Look, as a big team, we need to make a statement against whoever we play," he Soccer Laduma website.

"Pirates is a big team and our supporters are always looking at us to win our games.

"So whatever opportunities we have to win games and score goals, we have to take advantage to the fullest."

Nyatama joined Pirates in July and has already become an integral member of the team under Sredojevic, having made 10 league starts and one appearance off the bench.
