PICTURES: Benni throws tantrum, sent to stands

Cape Town - Cape Town City coach Benni McCarthy may have won the ikapa Derby against Ajax Cape Town on Saturday, but the match will be remembered for his mini-tantrum as much as the result.

With just 10 minutes remaining, Bafana Bafana's all-time leading goal scorer was sent to the stands by the referee after continuously leaving his technical area.

According to Ajax coach Muhsin Ertugral, the war of words with McCarthy continued in the tunnel after the match.

The result lifted City to second on the PSL table, just four points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Ajax, meanwhile, stay second bottom on the table.
