Phala eager to play with Letsholonyane

Cape Town - SuperSport United midfielder Thuso Phala has expressed his excitement about the imminent arrival of Reneilwe Letsholonyane from Kaizer Chiefs.

'Yeye' has opted to leave Chiefs at the end of the season, with his agent confirming that the 33-year-old midfielder will join Matsatsantsa during the upcoming transfer window, although neither club have made an announcement about the deal.

Letsholonyane will bring much-needed experience the Tshwane outfit and will link up once more with former Amakhosi coach Stuart Baxter.

"I'm not sure if he has signed or if it's just rumours but it would be nice to play with him again," Phala told KickOff.

"I played with him at Chiefs [between 2007 and 2009]. He's quality and he makes things happen for the team. Hopefully if he comes here, he will bring us that luck so that we can challenge for the championship."

He added: "We do speak but we haven't spoken about him being here at SuperSport United, we just speak about personal things.

"I haven't confirmed with anyone so I don't know if he's coming or not but if you say he's coming then it's good for the team because he's a quality player and would be a good asset for the team."
