Parker: We are cup specialists

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs striker Bernard Parker believes the club's billing as "cup specialists" makes them favourites to lift this year's Telkom Knockout trophy.

AmaKhosi will lock horns against PSL rivals Mamelodi Sundowns in the TKO final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday looking to add to their astonishing record of having beaten the Brazilians in all eight of their previous cup final meetings.

However, Chiefs have already stumbled at the last hurdle once this season after losing the MTN8 final against Ajax Cape Town earlier this season, and will be hoping to avoid a repeat of that outcome.

And, speaking ahead of this week's titanic clash, Bafana Bafana forward Parker said: "The chairman [Kaizer Motaung] told us that he wants the Telkom Knockout trophy.

"We need the right attitude to win the 2015 Telkom Knockout final.

"We are the favourites to win the Telkom Knockout final because we are cup specialists."

He added: "There is much more pressure after losing the MTN8 final."

Kick-off is at 18:00 on Wednesdy, December 16.
