Parker: We are better than SuperSport

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs striker Bernard Parker believes their game against SuperSport United on Wednesday should be a definite three points for Amakhosi.

The Glamour Boys laboured to a 1-1 draw against Bloemfontein Celtic on the weekend, and will be looking to get their season up and running against Matsatsantsa at FNB Stadium.

Feeling positive about the encounter, Parker said: "We must minimise the mistakes we make and focus more on ourselves.

"We should have the upper hand against SuperSport. We are the better team. We just need to take control of the game come Wednesday," the veteran Parker was quoted by Chiefs' website.

"This match should be a definite three points for us. Although, of course, we should focus on getting three points for every game we play, no matter how it comes," said Parker.

Having lost their opening game 2-0 to Tshwane rivale Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport United will also be looking to break their duck for the new season.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
