Parker reveals why Chiefs are fired up

Cape Town - Bernard Parker says his team-mates at Kaizer Chiefs are fired up following their victory over Polokwane City on Sunday.

Parker netted the first goal in Sunday's 3-2 Premiership victory over Rise and Shine, and believes the win can kickstart a run of improved form.

Amakhosi had not won in their seven previous league matches before their last-gasp win this past weekend.

The Glamour Boys face Golden Arrows in a league fixture on Wednesday and the 30-year-old is optimistic of another positive result.

He told SuperSport, "At half-time he coach turned things around, and said, 'forget about the tactics, forget about everything... do it for Amakhosi, and for the brand,' and we came out firing.

"We can only grow from here. I'm sure this win will boost our confidence a little bit, and I'm sure we will go more confident into our next match."

Chiefs' clash with Arrows gets underway from 18:00 at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
