Okwuosa to sign Pirates deal until 2020

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates' latest signing James Okwuosa will reportedly sign a three-year deal with the club after leaving Chippa United for the Buccaneers in a swap deal.

According to Owngoalnigeria.com, the Nigeria international is set to put pen to paper on a contract that runs until 2020. Chippa boss Chippa Mpengesi had earlier confirmed the move was taking place.

The publication said, "The former Super Eagles invitee is expected to sign a three year deal with the team, which will be made official in the coming days by both clubs."

The strong central defender made his name with the Chilli Boys since signing for the Port Elizabeth-based side in 2012 from Enugu Rangers in the Nigeria Premier League.

Chippa team-mate MArc van Heerden is also set to move to the Soweto-based side that will see four Pirates players: Justice Chabalala, Sello Japhta, Donald Mokondolela and Nkosinathi Mthiyane.

The move however has been delayed as Chabalala was spotted still training with Pirates along with the other players involved in the swap deal.

The details of the deal could change before being finalised by both parties.
