Okwuosa pens Chippa contract extension

Cape Town - Nigerian defender James Okwuosa has returned to Chippa United after his proposed move to Orlando Pirates fell apart.

Okwuosa looked set to join the Buccaneers after recently claiming that he had signed a pre-contract agreement with the Buccaneers in January.

However the move failed to materialise following the appointment of coach Muhsin Ertugral.

The turn of events was a welcome relief for club boss Chippa Mpengesi, who rates the player highly.

"Yes, James has signed a two-year contract with us," Mpengesi told KickOff.

"He has served the club very well for the past four years and is an important figure in our aspirations for silverware next season."
