Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town forward Riyad Norodien admits the club are desperate to finish in the top half of the Absa Premiership this season.
The MTN8 champions are currently in 10th spot and require a top-eight finish in order to defend their crown, but Norodien feels they're well on course to achieve their target.
"Preparations are going well, we don't change anything we continue working hard and try to secure a top eight spot," the 21-year-old told Goal website.
With the next fixture against the league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, the academy graduate concedes he loves testing himself against the bigger teams within the league, while also stating that Ajax coach Roger De Sa has rallied the troops for the final stretch of the campaign.
"I love games like this, it's a test for us to see what we are made of and to test our character and depth in the team," the youngster added.
"This season wasn't our best but we're still fighting like true warriors.
"He [De Sa] is trying his best to keep the guys fully focused and hungry to win as much of the remaining games as possible. We need the points."
