Norodien goes on loan to Dikwena

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates have confirmed that Riyaad Norodien has signed for Absa Premiership rivals Platinum Stars on loan until the end of the season.

It had earlier been reported that the 22-year-old winger was a target for Dikwena and he has now swapped Mayfair for the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace.

Since signing for the Buccaneers ahead of the 2016/17 campaign from Ajax Cape Town, Norodien has made just six starts under Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic.

The Rustenburg outfit have already confirmed the signing of Ayanda Gcaba from Pirates on a six-month loan, with Roger De Sa bolstering his squad in an attempt to move away from the foot of the league table.

The move presents Norodien the chance to get his career back on the right track under the coach he previously worked with at Ikamva, where they helped the Urban Warriors to the MTN8 title in 2015.

The Soweto giants confirmed the deal on Twitter, saying: "Transfer Update: Orlando Pirates Football Club has agreed terms with Platinum Stars for the loan of midfielder Riyaad Norodien for the rest of the season."
